Hometown of Winnipeg

Originally I'm from Winnipeg, Manitoba and I have a family cottage at Jessica Lake in Whiteshell, Manitoba. I spent my summers at the lake and it was my favourite part about Manitoba.

If I had to pick a football team it would be the Winnipeg Blue Bombers but I'm not a Jets fan, sadly, as I don't watch hockey. My winter season was more for cross country skiing, snowshoeing, and snowmobiling.

Winnipeg might be a cold place but it is a great city with warm people. The food and the culture in Winnipeg is a niche in Canada.

So if you are ever looking for something to do, I would recommend, checking out the Exchange District, and if you are in Winnipeg in the summer the BDI is the best place for a walk and to grab Ice Cream!

The parks are great and I think the atmosphere of Winnipeg is something that people need to start promoting because there is no other place in Canada like it.

CLUB MED

Dominican Republic

I had the opportunity to live in Punta Cana for 1 year from May 2015-2016 where i worked at the Resort Club Med.

This is where i started to learn how to speak french and a bit of Spanish. This was a great experience because i had the opportunity to explore the island a bit and learn a very different site of the country.

In 2017 i had the opportunity to go back to help out the sound and lighting department over the holidays. It was interesting to see how much the areas have changed and how much the culture has changed on the island as well. All in all it was a great time and loved my experience in the DR.

For people going to the Dominican republic please go to check out the culture be careful but there are some great hidden beaches, hiking and mountain biking areas. There is much the island that people don't know about it, For example,  they have a great night life and the street food ie, there roasted chicken is fantastic.

Mauritius

I spent a year in Mauritius island and by far it was one of the best places I think i have ever been. I feel in love with the island. I was there working with Club Med where i was trained as a light and sound technician. This country is fantastic, not only are the people amazing, but the culture of the island is captivating. From the Food, special events, and just the overall day to day atmosphere is unlike anything i have every experienced.

I got to see most of the island and really explore the island and the different cultures I would recommend anyone. The hiking leads you to breath taking views, there was amazing sea life and endless things to discover.

Kamloops

I moved to Kamloops to obtain my university degree. I have been here for 4 years and I have enjoyed my time here so much. It is really a great place to live and go to school. I have fallen in love with the people and the place. The possibilities are endless in Kamloops and the opportunity is only growing.

I became very involved with the campus life as well as what was going on in Kamloops. With three summers and 4 years of school spent in Kamloops I have been taking advantage of all that British Columbia has to offer. I have explored and really tried to take in what is around the region.

For places to go I would always recommend grabbing a beer at The Noble Pig, or Cafe Red Beard. The other place I love is grabbing a tea or coffee from the Art We Art or Red Beard.

Katimavik

I lived in Jonquiere Quebec, Casltegar British Columbia, and Peace River Alberta. I think back to these locations with so much excitement.
