Currently, I have been consulting on many small projects developing templates for organizations to overall improve efficiency. 

I support people building simple ready-to-use forms, templates that can be adapted easily within a workspace, such as excel documents, word templates, and outlook management.

Visitour Travel Technology - Co-Founder - 2013 - 2015

Tourism digitization and engagement system development Creating solutions for the tourism industry to compete in the mobile world.

Launched and developed from Kamloops startup weekend

What is Visitour?!? We help to make the transition to the digitization of tourism materials and content easier and more available for travellers. Our program is an engagement system that allows tourism businesses and organizations to have content that is normally in travel brochures and we make it digital and interactive points when using it. We have a classical where you can see the information and download it to your phone, or you have the option to add a little more fun and engage in a gamified experience. It is a start-up business that myself and a friend Nevin Webster started in 58hrs in the Kamloops First startup weekend with a great team. Nevin and I have decided to try to pursue this business forward.

 

Rockie Mountain Rangers 

Currently, I'm taking on a project to help connect people to the military history and significance of Kamloops. I'm putting together a short presentation with short videos to help tell the story of the military of our soldiers.

 

Lac Le Juene Resort

I worked closely with the owner of Lac Le Jeune Resort, to help him improve the overall content of his website for his business. I also helped him improve his social media and web presence. I did a bit of side research for him but the prime project was to update his website.I made sure that his business became easily connectable to future clientele. 

 

I worked and learned Wikads website tool, and I worked with the web programmer to update and keep the site to make sure it fits the client's needs so maintenance on the site would be minimal.

The great thing about this position is I have had opportunities that I know I have grown as an individual. I have had the opportunity to learn about database building, office management, Community planning, and much about promotions with social media planning as well as web development. I have been able to go out, learn, and work with many people with the many projects at our office, such as filming interviews for promotional materials, producing and developing releases and reports that can go out to the public. I have been able to get creative in this position with what I do as well as the projects I can take on. The team is strong at the NSBIA and I have loved my time working here.
